Before marrying the Raazi star, Ranbir was linked to several actresses in the industry, including Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. In an interview, Alia mentioned having a good relationship with her husband's ex-girlfriends. Recently, an old video of Alia surfaced online, where she playfully referred to Ranbir and Deepika as 'siblings.' In the viral clip, the Highway actress discussed an Indian version of the popular American sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S. In the video, she assigned Bollywood celebrities to the main characters, labelling herself as 'Rachel' and Kangana Ranaut as 'Phoebe.' Notably, she playfully tagged Salman Khan and Arjun Kapoor as 'Joey' and 'Chandler,' respectively. However, what captured netizens' attention was Alia labeling her husband, Ranbir, as 'Ross,' and Deepika as 'Monica.' In the original show, 'Ross' and 'Monica' were siblings. Netizens reacted to her comments for making such a bizzare casting. A user wrote, "Deepika and Ranbir siblings?!! okay, I will give this one yo Alia. this was funny too." A third user commented, "Who the hell on earth would cast Ranbir and Deepika as siblings? crazy miscasting"


During her appearance on Koffee With Karan 7, the Gangubai Kathiawadi star was presented with the choice between two titles: 'How to be best friends with your exes' and 'How to be friends with your boyfriend's exes.' Alia opted for the latter. When Karan Johar asked if she is friends with Ranbir's exes, she confirmed that she maintains a good friendship with her husband's ex-girlfriends. The actress further expressed her love for them, and the feeling is reciprocated she concluded.
